Alex Berg and his coauthors win the Koenderink Prize at ECCV 2026.
The Koenderink Prize is given at each ECCV to a paper from the conference ten years earlier that has stood the test of time. The 2026 prize went to SSD: Single Shot MultiBox Detector, from ECCV 2016, by Wei Liu, Dragomir Anguelov, Dumitru Erhan, Christian Szegedy, Scott Reed, Cheng-Yang Fu and Alexander C. Berg, "for bringing object detection to the deep learning age, together with the R-CNN and YOLO model families".
